International Conference on Recent Advances in Computer Science and Technology (ICRACST- 2020), funded by All India Council for Technical Education and our parent body Charutar Vidya Mandal, aims to evolve as a forum of discussing innovative and emerging trends pertaining to Computer Science and engineering. The objective of ICRACST-2020 is to provide a platform to the engineering students, academicians, researchers and industry personnel to interact and exchange novel ideas in related domains. The delegates will be able to earn the knowledge of upcoming research fields from the eminent speakers and show case their research findings among the researchers. The Conference covers various areas of computer science and engineering including multidisciplinary tracks such as Computational biology, Robotics and Internet of Things (IoT).
Charutar Vidya Mandal (CVM), a registered charitable trust is established in 1945. Since its inception the trust has been striving for the upliftment of rural society through education. Today CVM manages 49 educational institutes providing pre-primary to post-graduation in all fields of learning. CVM is always blessed with exemplary leadership qualities. It has been governed by stalwarts like former finance minister of India late Shri H M Patel for about three decades and now by a great visionary Er. Bhikhubhai B Patel.
G H Patel College of Engineering & Technology is managed by Charutar Vidya Mandal (CVM). From the very inception (in year 1996), GCET has strived to develop itself into an institute of Excellence in education and research in consonance with the spirit of modern Gujarat. In meeting this challenge of excellence, GCET has shaped its institution to the contemporary as well as future demands of need-oriented education. GCET is ranked 32 nd amongst top engineering colleges across the country by “Data Quest – school survey 2019”. GCET is awarded as Outstanding Institution in Western Region’ by ABP News in 2015 and 2016.
A bachelor’s programme in Computer Engineering was started in the Academic Year 1999-2000 with an intake of 40 students. Our Current intake is 60 students. The department has given its first meritorious batch of Computer Engineering graduates in July 2003. The Department has excellent laboratory facilities both for teaching and research. The Department organizes workshops, seminars in various specialties and runs summer/winter school for the benefit of engineering college teachers and professional engineers. The Bachelor of Computer Engineering programme is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation, New Delhi for 3 years from 15th March 2012.
National Conference on Recent Advances in Computer Science & Technology (RACST-2016) was organized in association with Computer Society of India on 4th-5th October, 2016. The aim of organizing the conference was to gather the academia with a common interest and exchange the most cutting-edge ideas in the field of Computer Science & Technology. Speakers from Indin Institute of Technology, Indian Institute of Science, Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology, Nirma University and Dharmsinh Desai University had delivered vibrant lectures on various topics like Computational Intelligence, High Performance Computing, Image Processing and Video Manipulation, Big Data and Cyber Security. Total 20 papers were presented on various technical topics. More than 300 participants had attended the conference.
