Programme

The department (earlier, IT/CP) got separated on 29th July 08. A Bachelors’ Programme in Computer Engineering was introduced in the A Y 1999-2000. Currently it has an intake of 60 students.

Faculties

The department is headed by Prof Maulika S Patel who has around 10 years of teaching experience. Most of the faculty members are either having masters’ qualification or pursuing their M.E in Computer Engineering. Faculty members attend various seminars and conferences every year. They are also involved in organizing workshops and seminars regularly. They are also publishing research papers in conferences.

Laboratories

The department comprises of 6 laboratories with a total of 180 computers and high end servers worth Rs 40 lacs. The department aspires to enrich the laboratories with latest softwares in due course of time.

Future Plans and Vision

The department wishes to initiate inter-institutional collaboration with renowned universities in the form of student/faculty exchange, joint research assignments and consultancy work.
